Summary

This study replicated prior work on establishing equivalence classes via intraverbal bidirectional naming. The study examined whether bidirectional naming procedures could establish class-consistent responding among trained and untrained stimulus relations.

The study contributes to behavior-analytic research on verbal behavior, naming, and derived relational responding by examining a procedure through which equivalence classes can be established without relying only on standard match-to-sample arrangements.
