A Smart Clothe for ECG Monitoring of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders
Published in Computers Helping People with Special Needs. ICCHP 2016, 2016
Summary
This study presented a smart clothing system for ECG monitoring of children with autism spectrum disorder. The work explored how wearable physiological sensing can be used in support and assessment contexts for children with developmental disabilities.
The study contributes to the Measuring and Autism Support lines by examining smart clothing as a low-burden method for recording physiological signals. It also provides an early basis for later work on home-based physiological monitoring using smart clothing technology.
Research line
- Measuring: wearable ECG monitoring using smart clothing
- Autism Support: physiological sensing for children with autism spectrum disorder
- Smart Clothing: low-burden sensing technology for support contexts
